The Union County Library recruits teens from across the community on a yearly basis and invites them to apply for the Teen Advisory Group (TAG). The TAG is made up of library staff and Union County teens to make decisions and work on bettering the teen services provided by the library under the guidance and leadership of the Teen and Technology Librarian.

Unlike the general volunteer program for the library, the TAG is open for teens ages 13-18 to apply.

Teen Advisory Group members:

Attend monthly meetings to plan events, displays, and activities
Help decorate teen areas at Union County Library (UCL) locations
Create posters, bookmarks, and promotional materials
Help set up and prep for programs and activities
Create new services for teens like the RAD Reads Gumball Machine
Write for UCL's Teen Bookwork Blog
Create activities like DIY Terrariums, Brown Sugar Scrub, Self Care Set, and other ideas from teens
Assist with moderating the UCL Teen Hangout Discord
If interested, create UCL Teens social media content
Manages the Kindness Project donations at the Union County Schools
