The Dickerson Genealogy & Local History Room is located in the Main Library.  The collection offers visitors and researchers access to: 

• An extensive reference collection of more than 4,500 items detailing the history and people of Union County and the surrounding area  
• Family files containing obituaries going back a hundred years and further
• Vertical files and finding aids arranged by subject on noteworthy events, people, and more.
• Locked files containing manuscripts, photos, and other irreplaceable items
• Microfilm records and readers 
• Ancestry.com Library Edition (available only at UC library locations)
