Residents of Union County NC who are unable to visit the library due to health conditions or lack of transportation may request home delivery of library materials.

For more information or to sign up for homebound service, call the Monroe Library at 704-283-8184, extension 5225. A library employee will ask you about your reading preferences and deliver selected materials once a month.

There is no charge for Homebound Services. No overdue fines will be assessed. However you will be responsible for the care of library materials and for ensuring they are available at the scheduled pick up time and location. If you lose or damage materials, you will be charged the cost of the item.

You may receive up to 10 library items per month. Those can be any combination of regular print books, large print books, DVDs or books on CD.

A library card is required to use this service, but don’t worry. If you don’t have one, we’ll set up a card for you!
